Happy Grandparents Day!

By: Perimeter School Students

At Perimeter School, grandparents are a special part of our covenant family! In honor of National Grandparents Day on Sunday, September 12, we asked our students to tell us about their grandparents.

what is something you love about your grandparents?

MARY HELEN (GRADE 2): I love my Grammy because she is a light to everyone she knows!

EVY (GRADE 4): My grandparents do so much for other people … even when it messes up their plans.

MICHAEL (GRADE 6): Mimi and Papa are always there for me! They come and support me at every game.

WHAT is your favorite thing to do with your grandparents?

CALLUM (GRADE 1): I like playing Monopoly Jr. with my grandparents. I usually win once I get all the money!

BLAYKE (GRADE 4): I love going shopping with them, having movie nights, eating their yummy food and dessert, and playing games.

LUKE (GRADE 6): My grandparents are very wise. At night, we walk around the cul-de-sac and talk about memories.

WHAT is a special memory you have with your grandparents?

JACK (GRADE 5): One of my favorite memories with my grandparents is having them over for Christmas and singing Christmas carols around the tree. I am very excited for them to come this Christmas!

SADIE (GRADE 6): A special memory I have with my grandparents is praying and asking for Jesus to be in my heart. It was a very special moment!

MARY GRACE (GRADE 7): My grandparents help us make amazing memories by taking us to awesome places like on a Disney cruise and to the beach.

what is something you have learned from your grandparents? how have they inspired you?

BRITAIN (GRADE 5): They have shown me what it is like to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

WHIT (GRADE 6): I have learned that when I grow up, I want to be just like my grandparents.
