Teacher Spotlight: Brittany Langford

By: Brittany Langford, PERIMETER SCHOOL PRE-FIRST TEACHER

We are excited to highlight what our teachers love about teaching at Perimeter School and their hearts for their students and our covenant community.

Our next teacher spotlight is Brittany Langford, Perimeter School Pre-First Teacher.

What is your favorite thing about being a teacher?

My favorite part of teaching is the relationship that I have which each child. I am a very relational person. I love knowing people and about people, so partnering with parents in the process of getting to know how God designed their children is such a highlight for me. And because I am so relational, I LOVE being at a school where everyone knows each other. We all want to belong and feel significant and be a part of something.

What is different about Perimeter School, and why have you chosen to stay here?

Perimeter School is such a special place. I grew up in a public school, and after becoming a believer, it was really important to me that my children grow up with a strong Christian worldview. The covenant community is truly what makes our school stand out. We are a family ... the good, the bad, and the ugly. I really think this is how God designed us to be and that He is honored and glorified when we function in this way. At the end of the day, each one of us knows that what matters most is Christ glorified and that the gospel changes everything. It changes how we do our jobs, how we interact with each other, and the choices we make. And being a part of a place that is like-minded is truly a gift.

What is your hope for your students?

My hope for my students is that they would KNOW deep in their hearts that Jesus is better …

better than good grades, better than popularity, better than being the best looking or having all the material things they could want. Christ is truly better. I pray that they would “count it all rubbish compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ.”
