INDIVIDUAL and GrouP SERVICES AND THERAPIES OFFERED AT PERIMETER SCHOOL FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE INCLUDE:

LUNCH AND LEARN: Students will receive academic support, therapies, and development activities that best suit their individual needs. These learning sessions will occur after the regular grade K-3 school day. This program will begin after Labor Day 2023. (Offered Grades 1-3)
ORTON-GILLINGHAM THERAPY: One-on-one therapy that uses an explicit, systematic, multi-sensory approach to reading development. (Offered Grades K-8)
EDUCATIONAL COACHING: Provides students with one-on-one sessions twice a week to provide accountability and encouragement as they take responsibility for their assignments. The coach helps students set goals, develop executive functioning skills and study strategies for specific quizzes and tests, create manageable timetables for long-term projects, and celebrate their progress. (Offered Grades 4-8)
SPEECH THERAPY: One-on-one or group therapy with a licensed speech-language pathologist for the treatment of articulation and language. Therapy includes receptive language and/or expressive language needs. Therapy can also focus on the mechanics of producing words, such as articulation, pitch, fluency, and volume. (Offered Grades K-8)
EDUCATIONAL TUTORING: Perimeter School tutors and teachers are available for one-on-one tutoring for specific subjects. Tutoring can be done on a regular or as-needed basis. (Offered Grades K-8)
NILD EDUCATIONAL THERAPY: NILD students have one-on-one educational therapy sessions two times a week. Each session lasts 80 minutes and is outside the classroom setting. These sessions include a variety of techniques designed to stimulate specific areas of perceptual difficulty (auditory, visual, and/or spatial). (Offered Grades 1-5)
SEARCH AND TEACH: An early intervention program developed to meet the educational needs of young learners. (Offered Grades K-1)
RHYTHMIC MOVEMENT THERAPY: A movement-based program using gentle, yet effective, passive, and active movements. The movements provide stimulation to several senses, including the tactile, proprioceptive (the inner sense of our body), and vestibular (balance) senses, which all form the foundational basis of our sensory system. The movement exercises address deficit issues such as attention, core strength, anxiety, gross motor, OT, etc. (Offered Grades K-8)
