Welcome, New Teachers

Stephany waters - Kindergarten

“I am so excited to be joining the rest of the wonderful Perimeter School teachers this year! Before coming to Perimeter School, I worked at Johns Creek Baptist Preschool and have even taught several Perimeter School students through the years. Before that, I was a stay-at-home mom with my three daughters. I have twin daughters going into fourth grade, and my oldest daughter will be in sixth grade. Our family loves Atlanta United and going to the games. I also love to be outside, especially at the lake or beach. I am excited to be joining the Kindergarten Team this year. Kindergarten is such a sweet and special time, and I’m honored to be a part of it this year!”

Julie Wolfrum - Kindergarten

“My husband Bradley and I have been married for almost 15 years. We have three children, Carter (fifth grade), Caroline (third grade), and Claire (kindergarten). I love spending time with family and friends. We enjoy traveling, playing outdoors, and family movie nights. I also enjoy exercising. I've been a stay-at-home mom for the last ten years. Last year, I went through OG training and was part of the Second Grade OG/Lang Program at Perimeter School, and I am looking forward to teaching at Perimeter this year! I've loved this school as a parent, room mom, OG tutor, and now as a classroom teacher. I'm excited to serve Perimeter School families in this new role!”

Kristin Lescalleet - Second Grade

“I was born and raised in South Texas, and I spent most of my life there. I taught at a Christian school in Corpus Christi. I have been married for 27 years, and I have 3 grown kids (two sons and one daughter). Our family moved to Metro Atlanta just over 5 years ago. We have fallen in love with North Georgia! My husband and I love hiking and camping, as well as music and the arts. I am very excited to teach at Perimeter School! I think the curriculum is beautifully engaging and the vision of the school is excellent. I look forward to getting to know each of my students and their families.”

Mary Beth Haedt - First and second grade paraprofessional

“The last two years I have done all kinds of fun jobs at Perimeter School: tutoring, academic coaching, subbing, and working with the third grade 1:17 class. I am thrilled to be coming back as the first and second grade parapro this year! I have an incoming kindergartener and a third grader, and we have the joy of having a 7 month old foster son. Our family loves to play board games, go on hikes, and host friends and family. We live near all of our family on both sides, so that is a huge blessing!’

Sarah barber - first and second grade nature study

“I am excited to be joining our faculty as the Nature Studies teacher for first and second grade. I have over 20 years of classroom experience in early childhood education and extensive training in Charlotte Mason philosophies. My husband Fred and I are parents to Buck (Perimeter School Class of 2021), John (eighth grade), and Clay (first grade), and we love to travel, watch sporting events, and just be home together playing games - Skyjo is the current household favorite!”

Katherine Brown - Director of Adventure

“Hello! My name is Katherine Brown. I have spent the past five years working for a faith-based theater company in Cumming, Georgia. I’ve been married for just over two years to my husband Avery. In my free time, I love painting, building costumes and props for musicals, and watching movies. I am very excited to get to know a whole new group of families and kids. I look forward to meeting you!”

Paul Reynolds - Adventure Assistant

“I have been married to Jan, the most beautiful, godly woman I’ve ever met, for 23 years. We have 5 children ranging in age from 21 to 9, and we are stumbling our way through how to parent adult children. I greatly enjoy interacting with kids, serving, playing all sorts of games, coaching, teaching the Bible, and evangelism. Before this role, I was running a home business of breeding exquisite, English Cream golden retrievers, and witnessing to every family who bought a puppy. I am most excited to join the Perimeter School faculty family, bringing God’s gifts entrusted to me into the mix, and rejoicing that the Lord will do far more than all we ask or imagine. May the Lord bless our covenant children by causing seeds of love and truth to be sown in them daily to grow them into mighty oaks of righteousness that make mighty kingdom impact.”

Blake Forrester - Sixth Grade Language Arts

“Prior to Perimeter School, I was growing in my student teaching at Otwell Middle School in Forsyth. I graduated from the University of North Georgia. I am an only child raised by my parents in South Forsyth. I do not have much family in the area, so I love visiting my Colombian cousins in Chattanooga! I am a high school small group leader at my church and have my own amazing Bible study with guys from my gym community.  Running, cars, and Nintendo games are prominent in my world too. And I genuinely like studying grammar a lot too! I am most excited to build deep trust with Perimeter School families as I seek to help my classes see the gospel in every little thing we do.”

Michael Volante - Seventh grade Math

“I'm excited and honored to be a part of the Perimeter School team this school year. Before accepting this position, I served on the Student Support Program staff in addition to running an ACT/SAT prep business. My family, which includes my two older sisters and parents, lives across Georgia, and I currently live in the Atlanta area with a couple of friends from church. For fun, I enjoy being active through activities such as soccer, spike ball, and running. This year I'm looking forward to seeing how the Holy Spirit moves among our students to lead them into a deeper relationship with Jesus.”

Zane Stephens - Eighth grade Language arts

“Since I graduated college, I have been an acting coach and actor. I opened my own acting school about a decade ago, where I helped develop teens and adults in the craft and have been blessed to work steadily as an actor. I am incredibly blessed to have a beautiful and supportive wife and two amazing boys. My wife is a vocal coach and works part-time at Perimeter Church, and both of my boys have been attending Perimeter School since kindergarten. As far as hobbies go, I love sports, coaching my kids, and spending time at the beach. I’m honored to get the opportunity to invest in this year’s eighth graders. I’m excited to be a lasting, positive role model in their lives, and I am looking forward to helping them grow in who they are.”

Chioma Anuebunwa - Director of student Support

“I was born and raised in southeastern Nigeria. My love for being an educator stemmed from observing my mother. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English and Literary Studies (2003) from Imo State University. Shortly after I settled here in America, I earned a second bachelor’s degree in English from Minot State University (MSU) in North Dakota. At MSU, I also earned a Master of Education degree in English. In 2010, I moved to Alpharetta, GA with my family, and co-launched Grades-up Learning Center with my sister. Three years later, I became a Special Education teacher at Hopewell Middle School, Milton. While pursuing my Ed.S. degree, I had the privilege of joining Kennesaw State University as an Instructional Technology Project Lead to coach K-12 educators on effective technology integration and personalized learning initiatives. During my five-year experience at KSU, I enrolled in a doctorate program at Valdosta State University and obtained my Doctorate degree in 2021.

My husband and I are blessed with a son and a daughter, both of whom are in high school. It has been a challenging but rewarding journey for my family, especially with my husband being a practicing physician all these years and God leading us throughout it all. I am looking forward to this new chapter of our lives as an opportunity to inspire students to persevere and thrive at school and beyond. I believe that God has led me to Perimeter School, and I am proud to be a part of the Perimeter family.”

PARK JEANS - DIRECTOR OF STUDENT LIFE

“My wife Nisee and I have lived in the Atlanta area since 1991 and have been members at Perimeter since 2019. We have three sons from 22 to 27 years old, and our oldest son and his wife just added a grandson to the family back in February of this year! I have always believed in the immense value of Christian education for our children. The impact that it can make on the lives of young ladies and gentlemen can be seen each day. However, I think the real measure of that impact is best seen in the adults, parents, and leaders they become later. I am very excited to be a part of a team of teachers, coaches, and staff that have Christian ministry at the forefront of their minds and as their mission each and every day. I spent the last 20 years managing construction projects and managing project managers for a commercial construction company. I decided it was time to do something more intentional with my life, so I left my company and spent the 2024 spring semester as a substitute teacher at Perimeter School. It was a blessing when God opened a door for me to be able to come on board at Perimeter School in a role that I did not expect, and I am blessed to be here on the team.”

VICKy RYDEN - DRAMA Director

“There I was, loving retirement and dabbling a bit in my passion: theater. I was serving as a Kid’s Worship Bible Storyteller at church and occasionally spending time with my two adorable, giggly “faux granddaughters.“ My husband Paul just published a book of memoirs, and my daughter Lindsay (Perimeter School Class of 2000) was (and still is) working as an artist in Duluth. Paul and I were about to move into our new home near downtown Duluth…

When the school approached me with the idea of serving as Perimeter School’s Drama Director. I prayed, ‘What are you up to, Father?’ The answer became clear as I prayed: God was calling me back to serve at Perimeter School. I have the time and the energy, and God is driving this bus! I am excited to return to serve the families of this wonderful school.”

James Greer - Robotics teacher

“God has blessed me with the most wonderful and beautiful wife for 45 years, Leslie, three children, Kristi, Jeremy, and Jennifer, and three grandchildren, Beckham, Parker, and Eve van der Westhuizen. I love to read and play guitar. I am happily retired after over 50 years of working, and I am excited to show the students that robotics is really our human attempt to copy God's beautiful creation.”

Naomi Chapman-Noles - Middle School Chorus Teacher

“I have taught music to all grade levels in different schools since I graduated from the University of North Georgia in 2017. I have also directed church choirs and homeschool coop choirs. My husband Joel and I reside in Cumming, GA, and we have been attending Perimeter Church since January 2024. Joel works for the church's technical production department. My greatest passion is music composition, and I am an aspiring musical theatre playwright and songwriter with three original musicals and more on the way! I am thrilled to be working with Perimeter School's middle school students on developing their vocal talents and exploring a vast variety of music genres while joining the next generation in its journey with Christ.”
