Alumni Spotlight: Sarah Stipe
By: Sarah Stipe, PERIMETER SCHOOL alum
We recently caught up with several of our Perimeter School alumni, and we are excited to share with you how Perimeter School has influenced their stories and how God is using them for kingdom impact.
Our next alumni spotlight is Sarah Stipe, Perimeter School Class of 2008.
What do you do? Where do you live?
I am an actress and singer. I currently live in Atlanta. I co-own Stipe Studio, a film, TV, and performance studio.
How Did your time at Perimeter School influencE who you are and what you do today?
I am thankful to Perimeter School for my spiritual foundation. I look back at our Bible classes and wish I could still be in them! I am so grateful for this place that cultivated my skills, let me be creative, and taught me about Jesus Christ.
"If it weren't for Perimeter School, I wouldn't know . . .”
If it weren't for Perimeter School, I wouldn't be in touch with how much I love to lead and would not be as creative as I am now. I was able to do some really quirky numbers in talent shows, dress in crazy costumes for Arts Festivals, and be in some really fun musicals!
In what ways is the work you are doing now spiritually and culturally Significant?
My favorite thing about what I do now is the impact I get to have on students. I get to direct short films and musicals, and I teach one-on-one voice lessons. The way I am able to come along-side a student to help them grow as a person and as a performer is the reason I do what I do.
It is amazing to be able to instill in a younger generation what I learned at Perimeter School.
We have a responsibility to engage in dialogue with love at the forefront.
Our veterans are defenders. They matter to us because they served so gratefully!
Today, as ballots are cast and votes are counted, it's important to remember who we – as the body of Christ – truly are. Because if we are in Christ, while we may live in a divided world, we're never truly a divided people.
Jesus came in the still and calm of the night.
