I pray That the Lord will continue to do His great work in all of us this summer.

By: Jeremy Case, Head of School

In our school passage this year, David extols God’s people to bless the Lord together …

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits … [because] The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.”
Psalm 103:1-2, 19

Psalm 103 is a call to do two things – to remember and to rejoice, a timely reminder during the 2020-2021 school year. I’m so thankful for this resounding truth in the midst of all the craziness of COVID, to continually cut through the commotion and renew our minds with the truth of God’s Word and center our hearts on the certainty of God’s never-changing character.

Bless the Lord

As we look back over this year and see God’s unending faithfulness, enduring protection, and gracious provision for Perimeter School, let’s remember how blessed we’ve been to begin and remain in-person throughout this entire school year!

It is such a blessing to rejoice together in God’s goodness and faithfulness to enable us during an exceptional year to emerge stronger because you, Perimeter School, are an exceptional community.

Now more than ever, we’ve experienced His power made perfect in our weakness as we forged ahead united in the linking of arms between parents, teachers, and administrators to educate and disciple our children to know the Lord and to make a difference for His kingdom.

Together in Covenant

One of the beautiful things about living in community is loving each other well through differences of opinions and perspectives, knowing the unity and bond we have through Christ.

Our covenant community has seen that our only response to this good news is to bless the Lord, to praise Him with our whole being by delighting in Him fully and together stewarding what is most important for our children.

Especially in a season of so much uncertainty, discipling our children together in covenant has allowed this good news to be amplified in our homes, classrooms, and church each and every day.

Thank You!

As we end this school year, I am so deeply grateful for our families and teachers who have worked together to create what has been a paradoxically normal year for our kids. Thank you for living out “covenant” in ways that are so powerful that there are hardly words to describe it.

To our faculty and staff, thank you for your excellence and fortitude to fight for what was best for our students and creating a haven within your classrooms for our children to escape the burdens of the pandemic.

To our parents, thank you for your faithful partnership in stewarding our ability to provide in-person instruction. You have gone above and beyond in your diligence to follow COVID protocols and serve families impacted by the virus, and we are so, so grateful!

And to our students, thank you for your resolve and resilience to excel in a very different and sometimes difficult year.

I pray that the Lord will continue to do His great work in all of us this summer and that we’ll emerge still remembering and rejoicing with gratitude and gratefulness, ready to love each other well.
