going to Perimeter School laid the groundwork for my faith.

We recently caught up with several of our Perimeter School alumni, and we are excited to share with you how Perimeter School has influenced their stories and how God is using them for kingdom impact.

Our next alumni spotlight is James Blain, Perimeter School Class of 2005.

What do you do? Where do you live?

I live in Berkeley Lake with my wife, Ashley, and daughter, Eloise, and work as a residential real estate agent with RE/MAX.⁠⁠

How Did your time at Perimeter School influencE who you are and what you do today?

Perimeter School was where I met some of my closest friends, even to this day.

and I think going to Perimeter School laid the groundwork for my faith.⁠⁠

When I was in middle school, there were dads who got a group of fathers and sons together every Wednesday morning for breakfast and Bible study. I believe we met all the years I was at Perimeter School. All of those connections between dads and sons were formed at Perimeter School and, though I don’t have middle school kids yet, a lot of meetings have happened at the breakfast table with kids that have been in my discipleship groups. ⁠⁠

"If it weren't for Perimeter School, I wouldn't know . . .”

If it weren’t for Perimeter School, I wouldn’t know most of the people I know today. The relationships that were formed and the connections that I made even while I was in middle school are some of the most important people in my life today. ⁠⁠

I can say confidently that a majority of the people I spend my time and life with have some connection with Perimeter School. There were numerous people who invested in my life and saw it was important to share their lives with me as I was navigating my faith and teenage years.

In what ways is the work you are doing now spiritually and culturally Significant?

It has been cool to be able to come back to Perimeter School and be the adult pouring into some of the young men. I have a group of seniors who are about to graduate from high school that I coached when they were in eighth grade at Perimeter School, and I have had them in a discipleship group from eighth-twelth grade.⁠⁠
