When We Give

When we give, it is an investment in His kingdom.

In many ways, we have had to fight hard for the things we value most this year: family, character, grit, relationships, genuine faith in a sovereign God. Yet, as believers, living through hard seasons is often where God chooses to meet us and to change us to be more like Him.

He asks us to step out in faith and trust Him. Generosity works like this. When we give, it is an investment in His kingdom that brings great spiritual benefits to us.

WHO DO WE TRUST?

Let’s call it like it is … giving can be hard! But in the midst of a pandemic, I believe that there is no better time to give because of the glory that doing so will ascribe to God.

My confession is that I am prone to idolize money, and I fear not having enough. I think we all struggle with the idol of money, however great or small. The evil one knows how to tell us lies, making us afraid and turning us away from the truth that our God will provide for us.

But who do we trust? Psalm 56:3 tells us, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

STEPPING OUT IN FAITH

Throughout the past year, I have had the privilege to walk with families who are passionate about Perimeter School as they step out in faith amidst worries about money and job situations. These families felt called to send their children to Perimeter School despite the fact that it was a stretch financially, and it took great faith for them to ask God to provide.

The impact of COVID-19 on our security has been great, but it has also presented opportunities to grow our faith. Generosity is one of those opportunities. The hurt in our community is real, and thus the call, for those who can, is to give.

THE CALL TO GIVE

We stand on the shoulders of former and current families who have been generous and faithful over the years. Our school aims to be accessible for all families who desire a covenant education for their children, and to do so, we need to grow the Covenant Fund through the generosity of our covenant community.

The Perimeter School Benefit – An Evening Under the Stars will be held on Saturday, April 17 (note the new date!). The primary goal of this evening is to raise funds to make covenant education accessible and affordable for today’s covenant families. I encourage you to get your ticket now and make plans to join us at this special event, not only to enjoy an evening of fun and community but to step out in faith and give generously if you are able.

We are so thankful that Perimeter School is in a solid place financially. The health of the Covenant Fund and the involvement of families giving to the GOAL scholarship are very strong. We give praise to our great King for providing so well and are reminded of how He has shown up for us and continues to bless our covenant community.

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
